This reminds me of “Don’t despise the day of small beginnings”  (I looked it up and it’s from the bible - Zach. 4:10) reccashay: The Hidden Life Within – Artist Giuseppe Penone carefully removes the rings of growth to reveal the ‘sapling within’. By carving out the inside of a tree trunk and leaving the knots in place, they eventually emerge as tiny limbs
